In 1947, Don and Katy Kilwin opened the first Kilwins store, which allowed them to share their passion for candy-making with others. Today, Kilwins is proud to call Philadelphia home.

The smells of chocolate, fudge, and waffle cones are enough to make your mouth water. The waffle cones, like our fudge and chocolates, are made by hand. While we’ve added and upgraded our appliances to meet growing demand and modern possibilities, we believe that maintaining these classic tools is a large part of what makes our Kilwins chocolates so special.
Looking for fruit with a new flavor? Try the Kilwins caramel apples, all made right here in our store. We call them our “Perfect” Caramel Apples because of their taste and appearance—basically, they’re flawless.
We only select the freshest Granny Smith apples to be our base, which we hand-dip in our homemade caramel sauce. The result is a delicious piece of caramel goodness coated with milk chocolate, nuts, and more.

We only bring our ice cream to our Philadelphia ice cream store when it meets our very high standards, which is why we call it Super Premium.
First, we do not just use any type of milk—we source our dairy from trusted family farms. We put full trust in our farmers to supply us with fresh milk and cream to serve as our ice cream’s foundation.
Additionally, Kilwins operates our own climate-controlled vehicles. Our trucks regulate our ice cream’s temperature and prevent it from melting (or freezing too much) before it reaches our Philadelphia ice cream store.
Our ice cream is also stored in specialized tubs that seal our ice cream and protect it from air exposure. The final result is the extra-smooth scoops of Kosher-certified ice cream that our customers know and love.
