Kilwins was started by Don and Katy Kilwin back in 1947. They were two dessert lovers, like all of us, who had a dream of making the best products using the finest ingredients. They met success early on and soon turned Kilwins into the confectionery we know today. Today, Kilwins is known for many of our recipes dating back to the 1940s, like fudge, chocolates, truffles, and caramel corn, and our newer creations like ice cream, milkshakes, malts, and sundaes.
Our team continues to uphold the tradition of sticking to the Kilwins original recipe. At our Frankfort chocolate store, we live to honor the names of Don and Katy Kilwin, who brought forth these amazing chocolates and desserts.
Our Original Recipe Ice Cream reimagines what ice cream can and should be. We introduced ice cream to our menu in 1985, and it continues to be a popular item, even during wintertime!
