The origin of Kilwins takes us back to 1947. Husband and wife Don and Katy Kilwin shared a passion for dessert, which led them to open the first Kilwins store in Petoskey, MI. They started off selling humble batches of baked goods and chocolates, not realizing their small-town chocolate shop would grow into a beloved destination.
Within the next few years, various new items were added to the Kilwins menu, including fudge, caramel, peanut brittle, and our Perfect Caramel Apples. The Kilwins went on to craft our signature TUTTLE™ Nut Caramels, adding even more diversity to the delicious lineup.
