Kilwins has been a treasured part of the national community since 1947, when Don and Katy Kilwin opened the first store in Petoskey, Michigan. They dedicated themselves to crafting the best chocolate, and once they felt confident in their recipe, they invited their community to give it a try.
Now, Kilwins has locations nationwide, and our range of handcrafted sweets has grown even larger. Many of the iconic treats at our Baltimore chocolate store still reflect original recipes and techniques favored by Don and Katy Kilwin.
For instance, our Mackinac Island Fudge is hand-paddled on marble slabs using our original recipe. The recipe for our Original Recipe Ice Cream dates back to 1985, and as the name suggests, we still base our ice cream on it today.

We transport our ice cream using our own temperature-controlled trucks, which are driven by dedicated Kilwins team members.
