I love being in Northern Michigan. In the winter, I'm out skiing. In the summer, I'm out paddleboarding.

Hunting in the fall, you can fish all year round. Just riding in your car is beautiful because you got forests and nature.

I love that we have four seasons, and there's always something different to do outside.

If it's going to be cold, you might as well have snow, so you can ski ski or skate or snow shoe.

It's a few minutes from home. I can be at the beach. I can be on the river in my kayak or out on my boat, water skiing, be at the ski hills. It's all within minutes of my front door, so it's pretty special to be able to live and raise a family in a place like that.

I love Patosky because it's very family-friendly. There's lots of fun things to do, from the parades to the library kids' activities.

We have a great school system. The art and the entertainment, the culture here is pretty phenomenal for a small community.

I just love having the ability to go out on my lunch hour and walk on the bike path next to Little Travers Bay, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

It's great living in a resort town in Northern Michigan.

Beautiful country roads to ride your bike on. It's just wonderful, wonderful place to be. And the winters are beautiful.

Summer's pretty special here. We see our population swell to three or four times, what it is in the wintertime, and that brings a lot of entertainment and events. Every weekend, it's difficult to decide just what you're going to go out and do that weekend. It's a lot of fun living here.
[00:01:31.14] - Pete Wendland
Working at a place where you can look out a window and see the lake is really the epitome of this area. It's a five-minute drive to the lake and quick change of clothes, and you launch the kayak and you're going. Actually, last night, we went out fishing and caught almost a limit. Terrible, isn't it? It's a rough life, I tell you.

Lake Michigan. That's the only thing you need. It's fresh water, it's clean, it's fun to swim in, it's fun to bike along, it's fun ride your motorcycle along. Certainly about the area is amazing because of the Great Lakes.
